On 10 October 2019, a delegation from Kyoto University and Pacific Consultants Co., led by Professor Yoh Yasuda, visited the facilities of the Renewable Energy Research Institute with the aim of learning about the experience of the Spanish electricity system in the integration of renewable energies. Researchers Emilio Gómez Lázaro and Sergio Martín Martínez presented the current situation and innovations in the participation of wind energy in the adjustment markets with a view to the implementation of these markets in the Japanese electricity system by 2021.
