Dear student,
I welcome you to the Faculty of Social Sciences in Cuenca, created in 1998 (Decree 52/1998 of 26 May 1998 by the Department of Education and Culture of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha), as an integration of the University College "Cardenal Gil de Albornoz".
Currently, the Faculty, with about 700 students, is an important centre of the University of Castilla-La Mancha in the campus of Cuenca that aims to achieve high levels of academic quality, in the teaching of the Degree in Business Administration and Management, Degree in Law, Degree in Labour Relations and Human Resources Development, Degree in Tourism, Double Degree ADE+Tourism and Double Degree Law+Business Administration and Management, all of them adapted to the European Higher Education Area.
The Faculty also offers four official postgraduate programmes: Master's Degree in Business Strategy and Marketing (MUEME), Master's Degree in Tourism Business Management (MUDET), Master's Degree in International and European Taxation (MUFIE) and Master's Degree in Access to the Legal Profession as well as several of its own degrees, including the Master's Degree in Public Contracting, Master's Degree in Prevention and Treatment of Domestic Violence, Master's Degree in Gender Equality: Training for Equality Agents, the Specialist en Canonical Matrimonial Law and the Master in Environmental Law and Sustainability The Faculty offers a wide range of courses, seminars and conferences given by professionals of the highest level. There are also numerous agreements with companies that allow our students to carry out external internships, which in many cases are the seed of their professional future. In the Faculty there is also the possibility of doing a Doctorate in numerous fields within the International Doctoral School
In the conviction that, in an increasingly interconnected world, the exchange of knowledge is an essential part of university education, we have a wide range of agreements with both Spanish and foreign universities, which enable our students to spend time at these centres, through the ERASMUS and SICUE programmes. Exchanges with Latin American universities are becoming more and more frequent. In recent years, the number of students from our campus benefiting from scholarships of this type has increased exponentially, as well as the number of foreign students studying at our Faculty.
On the Faculty's website, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students can find complete information on matters of academic interest, such as the Faculty's teaching staff, syllabuses, academic and exam calendars, an electronic guide to all subjects and all the information on the courses and seminars that are regularly organised at our Faculty.
