Ergonomic and Psychosocial Risks. Telework Conditions

In recent years, the use of computer equipment has become increasingly widespread across all work domains. These devices assist users by providing greater speed, efficiency, and quality in task execution. They have even facilitated new work arrangements, such as telecommuting. Additionally, laptops have become essential work tools for individuals whose jobs involve mobility or require attention to various aspects of their work, social, and family lives.

However, if certain risk factors related to screen-based work are not taken into account, workers may experience health issues, primarily physical problems and mental strain. Moreover, these effects can compound over time.

Given that people spend a significant portion of their day and life at their workplace, it is essential to define ergonomic requirements for furniture, work equipment, environmental conditions, and work organization. Furthermore, individuals must adopt healthy posture habits both at work and outside of it.
